Stiffeners…… all… day… long. Eight and a half hours of cutting, trimming, deburring, etc. of stiffeners. Nothing really new or exciting on the elevator stiffeners compared to the rudder except some trimming details, its just grunt work to get everything cut out and prepped. Cut out the basic shapes, mark the individual lengths and trim them up with the shears. Finish the edges up on the Scotch-brite wheel and then finish drilled all the stiffeners to the elevators. Hand scuff all the parts with red Scotch-brite pads, wipe down with Acetone and prime with SEM. It doesn’t feel like it should take this long, but stiffeners are annoying slow going to get them right and there are just so many of them.
