Today was a wash. It rained down a cold continuous rain that made everyone grump so we paddled off to some random spot and set up camp for the night by 2pm.
Tomorrow has rain in the forecast as well, with the addition of thunderstorms. I don’t know if we’ll try for any miles or not, it’s not worth putting up with a grumpy group to get a handful of miles down the river. It is supposed to be warmer, so maybe if we’re not all shivering we’ll put up with it better.
We have a lot of miles to cover to Front Royal and I’m starting to worry about water. The river water isn’t safe to drink, even after filtering it and we’re running low on our supply. Hopefully we can find somewhere along the riverbank to top off tomorrow.
