Today was an early morning, we were back on the river before 6am. We finished the South River today and got onto the South Fork fo the Shenandoah river – which I believe we’ll be on all the way to Front Royal.
Along the way El Dorado, Cricket, and Rick Flair ended up with two holes in their boat. We patched them over lunch to little effect.
We pressed on anyway soaking in the gorgeous day and spotted a bald eagle along the way.
Eventually found a water drain tunnel under some rail road tracks. The tunnel led to a well hidden campsite on the other side of the tracks.
We patched the holes a second time and letting it set overnight before inflating the boat again. We only need two more solid days on the water before we make Loray and possible a better patch job.
